As we navigate through these unprecedented times, we want you to know that we’re here for you. Mather’s most important priority is to protect residents and staff.

We wanted to inform you that we have learned that a resident who lives in Independent Living has tested positive for COVID-19. We wish this individual a speedy recovery.

The Mather is interviewing the individual to determine if they were in close contact with residents and/or employees (meaning within 6 feet of anyone for more than 15 minutes). Individuals who have been in close contact will be notified.

We still have free home-based COVID-19 tests kits available for any interested residents or employees.
You can get one kit at a time, and each kit contains two tests. Mather did not purchase these kits and does not endorse one brand of kit over others. It is completely voluntary for interested individuals to accept a kit.

Note that if you receive a positive test result at home, OR if your result is negative but you have COVID-19 symptoms, then you should stay in your home and contact your health care provider. Your provider may recommend a follow-up test.
